With all of the recalls and chemicals used in our produce, I really have an interest in gardening my own vegetables. J and I plowed out a large chuck of the back yard earlier this year with hopes of a producing a vegetable garden to feed us through out the year. Unfortunately the only thing I have managed to keep alive is jalapenos (which is great for a metabolizing boaster). My tomatoes died, I planted broccoli in the summer, I didn’t realize that it takes asparagus 2 years to be an edible plant, bugs got to my collards, my zucchini well 😦 and my eggplant…not the best. Everything I plant dies but I am not deterred. I continue to plant and garden certain that one day I will be able to eat more than just jalapenos. I will start to post pictures and updates from my garden. Please feel free to provide any advise possible. I am an amateur after all.
